PFNonwovens announces new production lines in the U.S. and the Czech Republic
Hazleton, PA, April 20, 2020
I am pleased to inform you that the PFN Board of Directors has approved a new nonwoven line investment in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. The line will be a Reicofil 5 – 3.2m wide line and will be equipped with a state-of-the art specialized and proprietary fabric enhancement unit that will create premium garment-like fabrics for the North American hygiene market. The line will also have bi-component capability to produce bio-sourced and other specialty products. Importantly, this line will also increase the capacity to produce medical fabrics in Hazleton to address medical health crises, such as COVID19.
In conjunction with this investment, we are pleased to announce that we are in the process of engineering a new Meltblown line for face mask material and medical wipes applications in Znojmo, Czech Republic. The new line will be made available to Czech government as well as to private customers in the Czech Republic and in Europe.
These investments confirm that PFN, and its Czech family Owners, R2G, are long-term committed to the global growth of PFN, and the strengthening of their leadership position in the nonwovens industry. PFN is dedicated to satisfying the demands of the market by providing innovative and high quality products manufactured using state of the art technology coupled with best in class product development.
