The shelter-in-place order is still ongoing in IL until end of May, but we would like to assure you that we’re here for you.
Herrmann Ultrasonics has been designated as an essential manufacturer due to the equipment we supply for the COVID-19 pandemic. We remain open and operating with safety measures in place. The on-site staff has been reduced for the health and well-being of our employees. However, this doesn’t mean reduced support. Many employees are working from home and we are ready to support you with calls, video conferencing or even on-site. Our essential staff in our North American headquarter handles your shipping needs and they are sending your orders out as quickly as possible. We will continue to do everything in our power to sustain manufacturing and supplying our goods to you during these challenging times.
In the last few weeks we have been heavily involved in helping customers who are expanding their existing production capacities to mask production. In urgent cases we were able to deliver ultrasonic system and tooling in few days. Ultrasonic welding is a preferred technology for the production of respiratory protection masks made of nonwovens – welding tasks are the bonding of the individual layers of material and seams and the welding on of the elastic bands or the breathing valve.
