Cary, NC, September 11, 2024 – INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, is proud to announce the release of the International Fiber Journal’s (IFJ) special sustainability issue dedicated to nonwovens. This special edition, which was sponsored by INDA, is a key piece of the association’s 2024 strategic sustainability initiative, launched at the beginning of 2024 in response to feedback that sustainability remains one of the nonwovens industry’s highest priorities.

“This special issue of the International Fiber Journal is a vital part of our multi-faceted sustainability initiative aimed at providing new and enhanced offerings to INDA members and the nonwovens industry. We are excited to see the industry come together to share insights on the sustainability challenges we face,” said Tony Fragnito, President of INDA.
“Our members and the broader industry are leading the charge in reducing waste and conserving natural resources. This special IFJ issue highlights innovative solutions that emphasize recycling, reuse, and reduction of nonwoven products and materials, ensuring a more sustainable future for our planet,” said Jessica Franken, INDA Sustainability Consultant.
“The special issue of the IFJ focused solely on sustainability and circularity in the nonwovens sector is a marker in time detailing current progress, potential challenges to overcome, and future aspirations of the industry,” says Caryn Smith, IFJ Chief Content Officer and Publisher. “We are pleased to collaborate with INDA on this pivotal tool designed to drive change through an exchange of views.
