Center for Sustainable Polymers Creates New Polymers from Safe, Renewable Resources
Polymers made from grass clippings? It could happen thanks to current research by the Centre for Sustainable Polymers and that has the potential to help reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. The point is to take renewable resources and create something useful that has a more limited impact on the environment and people’s health. Perhaps one day there might even be a curbside pick-up service for grass clippings that could be turned into plastic cups (for your favorite beverage) or maybe even packaging for nonwovens.
