Bostik Presentation at RISE to Focus on Technologies That Are Being Driven by Nonwoven Hygiene Market Trends
Wauwatosa, Wis., Sept. 5, 2013 – Bostik, one of the world’s leading bonding solutions companies, will deliver a presentation on technologies that are being developed to meet new market-driven demands in the nonwovens industry at the 2013 RISE conference, Sept. 30-Oct 3, in Denver.
Pablo Leon Escobar, Americas Market Manager, Bostik Global Nonwovens Business Unit, will focus on upstream technologies that are being impacted by changing trends in the disposable hygiene market segment of engineered fabrics.
“Technological innovations are reacting to trends such as the consumer desire for a cost-effective disposable hygiene product that looks and feels like underwear,” said Escobar. “We are also seeing the impacts of added functionality technologies such as hot melt wetness indicators and monitoring capabilities in adult incontinence and baby care products.”
He will also explore changes in the area of cost effectiveness as it relates to nanofibers, application technologies and raw material innovations.
Escobar, who holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in marketing, joined Bostik in 2008. His prior experience includes working for other global companies such as Crown and Amcor.
Escobar’s presentation will take place on Tuesday morning, Oct. 1, as part of the Revolutionary Technology and Trends session that immediately follows the conference’s opening remarks by INDA President Dave Rousse.
“Bostik has earned a reputation for leading the way with innovations, and we are proud to have Pablo share his expertise at this year’s RISE conference,” said Courtney Korselt, Bostik Global Communications Manager.
