NSF Grant and Seika Deal for Xanofi
Nanofibers are such a hot topic these days and making it a commercially viable option is of great interest to many manufacturers. Xanofi is looking to make nanofibers accessible and cost-effective for anyone to use. To that end, they have been awarded a small business innovation research grant by the National Science Foundation. This Phase I grant is for a company to do research and development with a high technical risk and high commercial reward. The grant application process isn’t easy if the 42-page how-to-apply for the grant PDF is any indication. If you want to learn more about Xanofi’s nanofibers, you could always attend RISE 2013 – Xanofi is one of the speakers. Just a thought.
