Eco-Safe Antibacterial Fiber Discovered
Researchers at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm have discovered an Eco-safe antibacterial fiber. Did you ever hold a magnet to a metal object as a child? And remember being fascinated and wondering how the magnet held on to the metal object? Well, this discovery is similar only with polymers. Imagine having an antibacterial polymer that locked on to cellulosic fibers. The best part is this new material attracts bacteria (read: polymer has a positive charge and bacteria has a negative charge). Just like a magnet.
