Most everyone is aware of overflowing landfills, but how many people know that the oceans are becoming repositories for garbage too? There’s even a name for one area that is particularly troublesome: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Method (a cleaning product manufacturer) is known for their environmentally-conscious products and they are trying something new to tackle this serious issue. Recover plastic from the ocean and turn it into packaging for their products. With the help of volunteers collecting the plastic, they could make this business model an ongoing reality.
