Berry Completes of Centre of Excellence for Carding
Berry is pleased to mark the completion of the investments establishing the Center of Excellence for carded nonwovens in Terno Italy. The 2 year program delivers enhanced production, conversion and innovation capabilities. New and upgraded production lines optimize the production of low and high basis weight, air-through bonded carded nonwovens. Downstream capability has been enhanced with the installation of a new advanced spooling asset. With a key focus on innovation, a multi-layer pilot line and dedicated application laboratory have also been established which supports customers in the development of enhanced functionality such as softness and sustainability.
The Centre of Excellent investment, along with the Reicofil R5 investment for Asia and back-sheet film investment in North America continue to demonstrate Berry’s commitment to leadership in supplying the Hygiene industry.
