The Future of Spunlaid and Spunmelt Fabrics Based on Reicofil Technology

Abstract: The Spunlaid Technology and the Melt Blown Technology are well known as one step technologies from polymeric resin into Nonwoven roll goods. In combination with each other classes of Nonwovens with barrier properties, called spunmelt Nonwovens are created. In the last years the nature of such products has been advanced from more flat products into products with bulk, thickness and softness. The combination of resin and process design and web handling does help to create this new class of Spunlaid/ Spunmelt Nonwovens. With different setup of the process the bulkiness, thickness and softness of the Nonwoven can be influenced and future developments on this will be discussed.
