NET-Tappi
NET – TAPPI’s Nonwovens Engineers
and Technologists Division

Recognizing the need for a professional association dedicated to the increasingly dynamic nonwovens industry, TAPPI has created NET – the Nonwovens Engineers and Technologists Division. Formerly known as TAPPI’s Nonwovens Division, NET reflects an expanding emphasis on connecting a broad community of individuals who are focused on advancing nonwovens science through peer reviewed papers, conferences, workshops and other collaborative activities.

TAPPI Committees

Binders and Additives

Promotes the exchange of information on the technology and use of continuous nonwoven webs that are treated with binders and additives that impart specific properties.

Building & Industrial Mat

Supports the exchange of information concerning the manufacture and use of wet-laid nonwoven mat, fiberglass and other synthetic fibers used for industrial and building applications.

Materials Characterization and Modeling

Promotes the exchange of information on the equipment, methods, procedures, literature and software used to characterize and model the performance of nonwoven products.

Filtration Media

Facilitates the exchange of information on the technology and usage of nonwoven filter media. Develops test methods, defines and disseminates terminology and tests. Encourages and educates the industry in wider use of nonwoven media in filter applications.

Fibers & Process Technology

Promotes the understanding and knowledge of the fibers, raw materials and technologies used to produce nonwoven fabrics.

Insulation

Addresses any issue in the area of insulation manufacture and use.
