Big changes and program improvements are in store for attendees at the nonwovens industry’s most important technical gathering of the year, the 2009 International Nonwovens Technical Conference (INTC), set for September 21-24, 2009 at the Grand Hyatt Denver Downtown, Denver, Colorado. Sponsored by INDA, and organized in partnership with TAPPI, the Technical
Association of the Pulp, Paper, Packaging and Converting Industries, the “new
and improved” INTC 2009 will be highlighted by sessions containing
input from industries outside of traditional nonwovens, paper and engineered
fabrics as a means to stimulate discussion and to introduce new technology
into nonwovens.

High growth of the North American consumer and industrial/institutional market is projected in a soon-to-be-released report from INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry. Available in June, the report, entitled “Wipes, Nonwovens Industry Outlook Trends & Forecasts, North America 2008 – 2013,” includes all sales of wipes by major retailers and distributors in North America.
